About Us

We’ve spent years building real reporting tools.

XLiQ is built by three founders with over two decades each in enterprise reporting — and a long-held conviction that Excel was never the problem. Excel may have been launched on the Macintosh, but its become the backbone of the real reports that run businesses.

The Team

Every reporting project ends the same way: a spreadsheet.

For the better part of two decades, our team has built enterprise reporting solutions on Excel — for global banks, FTSE-listed groups, consultancies and mid-market finance teams. We’ve shipped warehouse-backed reporting models, Analysis Services cubes, Power BI estates and bespoke Excel front-ends in every flavour.

And every time, the same pattern. Beautiful, governed BI platforms get built — and then the numbers get exported to Excel anyway, because that’s where finance works. The result: shadow spreadsheets, broken lineage, and the very versioning problems the BI investment was supposed to solve.

XLiQ exists to end that round trip. Keep Excel. Lose the export. Keep the governance. That’s the whole idea.

Excel is the Interface

Don’t fight the tool finance has used for 40 years. Make it better.

Governance isn’t optional

A copy in a spreadsheet is the moment your controls disappear

Finance owns the report.

If you need a ticket to add a column, the system is in the wrong hands.
